Their First Meeting Was At Choir Rehearsals, Busayo Wished He Was Damilola’s Piano Teacher

It is often said that one easily recognizes what his or her heart wants when they see it. Well, Busayo may share in this school of thought as his first time setting eyes on Damilola at a choir rehearsals back in 2017 was all he needed to be convinced that he has found his future partner.

7yrs after ,they are ready to walk down the aisle, we catch a glimpse of their love through their pre wedding photos which was nothing short of an absolute beauty.

Their love story as shared by Busayo:

“The first time I met Dami was in CGC, the Chosen Generation Choir of RCF OAU. We had rehearsals every Saturday for Sunday service. I had seen her name, Adelegan Damilola, studying pharmacy, and that caught my attention because pharmacy was considered one of the hardest courses on campus. But I didn’t think much about it until we met at church.
Another friend introduced us, and we had a brief conversation.
In my final year, Dami became the Sister’s Coordinator of the fellowship. Although we didn’t talk much, l often saw her taking piano lessons from a friend. I couldn’t help but notice how her wristwatches always matched her outfits. Secretly, I wished I was her piano teacher.”

“After graduation, I once reached out to her when a friend wasn’t responding to my calls. Dami was still in school and helped check on her. We began talking more and got to know each other better. I learned she loved rice, beans, plantain, and any protein as her favorite food.
By November 2017, I was preparing for my service year and hadn’t planned on having a girlfriend. But my friends urged me not to wait too long. So, before NYSC, I asked Dami out. Three months later, on February 28th, 2017, she agreed. Then, on April 10th, 2024, seven years later, I officially proposed, and she said yes. “

 Their love story as shared by Damilola:

”Busayo and I met in RCF OAU, where we initially had minimal interaction. I served as the assistant head for publicity, and later as the sister’s coordinator, while Busayo was a fellow church member.
After he left school, he reached out to me for help in checking on a friend. I assisted, and we began talking more frequently, eventually building a friendship.”

”In 2017, Busayo asked me out, l initially declined before quickly changing my mind and agreeing. Our relationship lasted for seven years, filled with ups and downs, but Busayo’s kindness and reliability stood out to me. In April 2024, he proposed, and I happily said yes. I’m excited to marry him and look forward to our future together. I’m grateful to have him in my life and can’t wait to do forever with him.”
